Leonardo da Vinci said, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” If da Vinci were alive today and living in the Lake Barrington Shores area, family owned and operated ZaZa’s Tavola Italiana could very well be considered the inspiration behind Leonardo’s famous quote.
ZaZa's Tavola Italiana offers an intimate, comfortable atmosphere, catering to all diners, from families to the hopeless romantics. Greeted by white linen tables, fresh olive oil and warm baked bread, diners can relax and savor authentic and fresh Italian foods as if visiting a trattoria in the Italian countryside. Pasta dishes are rich and flavorful reproductions of Old World standards, such as the Rigatoni Bosciolla or the Salsiccia con Peppers. There are plenty of other dishes for guests to enjoy as well, from salads and appetizers, to pizzas, pastas, and entrees, like the Fettuccine Capensante and the Pollo Limone. Gluten free options are available.
“We truly pride ourselves on our attention to detail…whether it’s making sure the bread is fresh, keeping your water full, or suggesting a perfect glass of wine, our main focus is you,” says Sallie LoBue, Co-owner.
There is a full bar with seating, which provides a well rounded assortment of spirits for all occasions. On the long list of must tries is something off of the Martini menu, but don’t forget to order a bottle of wine with dinner.
The overwhelming feedback from those who have dined at ZaZas is how friendly and personable the staff was during their dining experience. “This small restaurant never fails to surprise and delight us… Another outstanding meal… They changed their menu to reflect the fall season, featuring seasonal produce and flavors… Great food, wine and service,” boasts a diner.
